From 1947 Fishing Collective to 21st-Century Seafood Powerhouse

Founded in 1947 as a Baltic fishing collective farm, ZA RODINU spent its first decades perfecting the art of the catch. Only after those roots were firmly planted did we add processing and, eventually, a state-of-the-art cannery. Today we control the entire value chain—from the first cast to the final can—so freshness never leaves our sight.

What makes us different?

A fleet that never sleeps.
Twelve modernised trawlers harvest sprat and Baltic herring in open water, while our crews in Kaliningrad Bay land bream, pike-perch and the elusive Baltic eel. In 2024 we added the Proliv complex in Kerch, securing a raw-material base in the Azov and Black Seas.

Serious processing muscle.
– Flash-freeze line and low-temperature storage keep every catch pristine.
– A brand-new cannery now produces up to 120 million tins a year — nearly four cans every second, around the clock.
– Finished-goods warehouse capacity: 13 million cans ready for rapid shipment.

For decades we’ve held the No. 1 spot in Russia and the CIS for sprats—including our signature sprats in tomato sauce.

Proven quality.
Diplomas, medals and commendations from international fairs decorate our walls, but our favourite trophy is the moment a customer pops a lid and tastes the Baltic within.
